Congratulations to Emma Sweet (Tu) on winning the Michael Pattinson Senior Shooting Competition and to Jack Kesterton (W) on winning the Junior Shooting Competition.
In the Senior Competition it was a very close call with Emma Sweet initially drawing with Harry McClements (Sh) and with Tom Radley (K) just one point below. Emma Sweet scored 186 with 8 shots touching the centre dot and Harry McClements scored the same, also with 8 touching the centre. Tom Radley scored 185. However, a further 5 shots were fired to decide the winner and Emma scored 42 to Harry’s 40.
In the Junior Competition, completed last week, Jack Kesterton scored 187 on two five bull cards with Armando Garza (W) coming 2nd with 183.
The next competition to be decided is the 2AA shooting cup, with just one more group to shoot (Keeling, led by Mr Papenheim). So far the highest score has been from Mr Christie’s group, Bushell, with Roddy Crawford (C) scoring 98 on his highest of two cards. Mention should also be made of Harry McClements, Thomas Ribaroff and Tim Brown, all of whom scored 97.
