For the first time two pupils from Rugby School have become English Schools’ Athletic Association national track and field champions.

Tim Kerr-Chin won a gold medal in the Junior Boys’ Long Jump and Harry Sutherland a gold in the Junior Boys’ Shot.

They were also part of the Junior Boys’ 4 x100m team which qualified for the final and finished fourth.

Ben Sutherland also reached the final of the Inter-Boys’ 1500m event.
